Getting There

  • Subway

    If you are in Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North train station. Take the Hudson Line train toward Grand Central Terminal. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at the 125th Street station. From there, transfer to the 2 or 3 subway train heading downtown. Get off at the 42nd Street-Times Square station. Once at Times Square, follow the signs to the 7th Avenue exit. Walk east towards Central Park South for about 10 minutes. You will arrive at Hallett Nature Sanctuary located at 6th Avenue & Central Park South.

  • Bus

    From Yonkers, you can take the Bee-Line Bus Route 1 towards the Bronx. Get off at the last stop, which is near the 242nd Street subway station. From there, catch the 1 subway train heading downtown. Disembark at the 50th Street station. Exit the subway and walk east for about 10 minutes until you reach 6th Avenue & Central Park South. Hallett Nature Sanctuary will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you find yourself near the waterfront in Yonkers, you can walk to the nearest Metro-North train station. From the station, take the Hudson Line train to Grand Central Terminal. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and walk towards 42nd Street, then head west to 6th Avenue. Continue walking north for about 15 minutes until you reach Hallett Nature Sanctuary at 6th Avenue & Central Park South.
