    Start at the Yonkers Metro-North station. Purchase a ticket to South Ferry station in Manhattan. Board the train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at Grand Central. From Grand Central, follow the signs to the 42nd Street shuttle and take it to Times Square. At Times Square, transfer to the 1 subway line and head downtown towards South Ferry. Get off at the South Ferry station. Once you exit the subway, walk towards the Battery Park ferry terminal.

    Find the nearest bus stop that services the Bee-Line Bus system. Take the Bee-Line Bus route 1 or 2 towards the New York City area. Alight at the last stop, which will be near the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal. From there, you can take the MTA bus or subway to reach downtown Manhattan. Make your way to the Battery Park ferry terminal where you can catch a ferry to Liberty Island.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Hudson River, you can take a scenic walk along the waterfront towards the downtown area. Head towards the Hudson River waterfront, walk south until you reach the Battery Park area. This will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Battery Park, find the ferry terminal to board the ferry to Liberty Island.
