Public Transit - Metro North Railroad
Start by taking a Metro North train from Yonkers Station to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Once you arrive at Grand Central, follow the signs to the subway station. Take the 4 or 5 subway line downtown to Bowling Green Station. From Bowling Green, walk towards State Street and catch the Statue Cruises ferry to Liberty Island. The ferry ride will take you directly to the island.

Public Transit - Bus
From any point in Yonkers, locate the nearest bus stop for the Bee-Line Bus System. Take the BxM4C express bus towards Manhattan, which will take you to the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to the subway and take the 1 line to South Ferry Station. Exit the station and walk to the nearby Battery Park, where you can board the Statue Cruises ferry to Liberty Island.

Walking to a ferry terminal
If you are close to the Hudson River waterfront, you can walk to the nearest ferry terminal at Battery Park. Head southeast toward the river, and follow the waterfront path until you reach the Battery Park area. Once there, look for the Statue Cruises ticket booth to purchase your ferry ticket to Liberty Island.

Combination of Transit and Walking
From your location in Yonkers, take a Bee-Line bus to the nearest Metro North station. After getting off the bus, board the train to Grand Central. At Grand Central, take the 1 subway line downtown to South Ferry. After exiting at South Ferry, you’ll be just a short walk to Battery Park where the ferries to Liberty Island depart.
