If you are near Times Square, walk to the Times Square-42nd Street subway station and take the 1 train downtown. Ride the train for about 10 stops until you reach the South Ferry station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to Battery Park. The park entrance is just a short walk away.

Find a nearby bus stop and take the M5 or M20 bus. If you're starting from the area around the World Trade Center, you can catch the M20 bus at the Church St/Chambers St stop. Ride the bus down to Battery Park, where you'll disembark at the Battery Park stop. The park will be directly in front of you.

Walking
If you are in the Financial District, you can simply walk to Battery Park. Start at Wall Street and head south towards State Street. Continue walking until you reach the waterfront, and then turn left to enter Battery Park. It’s a scenic walk of about 10-15 minutes.

Ferry
Take the Staten Island Ferry for a scenic ride across the New York Harbor. Board the ferry at the Whitehall Terminal in lower Manhattan. Once you arrive at Staten Island, return on the same ferry and enjoy views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. When you return, you will arrive at the same Whitehall Terminal, which is just minutes away from Battery Park.
