From Christchurch, take State Highway 1 heading south for approximately 70 km. Then exit onto State Highway 73 towards Arthur's Pass. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the sign for Emily Falls and Rata Falls tracks. Follow the road signs that will take you to the parking area. There is no cost for parking.

Take a bus from Christchurch to Greymouth. The bus ride will take about 3-4 hours, depending on traffic. Once in Greymouth, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a rideshare service to reach the Emily Falls parking area, which is approximately 30 km away.
