Bus
Start at the Christchurch Central Bus Interchange located at 37 Lichfield Street. Take Bus Number 28 (Governors Bay) heading towards Governors Bay. The bus runs approximately every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the Governors Bay Stop. Once you get off, walk along the main road (Governor's Bay Road) for about 5 minutes until you reach Jetty Road. Turn left onto Jetty Road and walk for about 300 meters until you see the Governors Bay Jetty on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in central Christchurch. Head towards the Ferrymead Bridge on Ferry Road, and follow the signs for the Summit Road. Continue along the Summit Road until you reach the junction for Governors Bay. Follow the road down into Governors Bay, and when you reach the village, turn right onto Jetty Road. The jetty will be located at the end of this road.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to hike, you can start from the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. Walk towards the Port Hills via the Dyer’s Pass Road. The hike is quite steep and may take about 1.5 hours. Once you reach the top, enjoy the views and then descend towards Governors Bay. When you reach the bottom, follow the road to Jetty Road and turn left to reach the Governors Bay Jetty.
