Public Transport - Bus
Start your journey at the Christchurch Bus Interchange located at 37 Lichfield Street. Take the number 28 bus towards 'Heathcote Valley'. The bus operates frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and get off at the stop called 'Heathcote Valley'. From there, walk along Heathcote Valley Road until you reach the intersection with Summit Road.

Once you arrive at the intersection of Heathcote Valley Road and Summit Road, turn left onto Summit Road. The Bridle Path Rest Area is approximately a 15-minute walk from this point. Continue walking up Summit Road; you will notice the area on your right. Look for the sign for Bridle Path Rest Area at 825 Summit Road.
