From the Christchurch City Centre, head to the Bus Interchange located at 37 Lichfield Street. Look for the bus routes heading towards Cashmere. You can take Bus Route 17 (Cashmere) or Bus Route 11 (Hoon Hay). The bus will take you to the Cashmere area. Get off at the stop on Colombo Street near the intersection with Victoria Park Road. From there, walk south on Victoria Park Road for about 10 minutes until you reach 125 Victoria Park Road, where the Harry Ell Track begins.

If you are starting from a central location, you can walk to the Harry Ell Track. Head south on Colombo Street until you reach the intersection with Victoria Park Road. Turn right onto Victoria Park Road and continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for the Harry Ell Track as you approach the entrance at 125 Victoria Park Road.
