Start at the Christchurch Central Bus Station. Take the 'Akaroa' bus (check local schedules for the latest times). This bus will take you towards Little River. Stay on the bus for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes until you reach the 'Little River' stop. Once you disembark, continue walking along Christchurch Akaroa Road for about 5 minutes until you see Little River Gallery on your left.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Christchurch. Start your journey from the city center and head towards the southern suburbs. Follow the cycle routes that lead you towards Akaroa Road, which is well-marked for cyclists. The ride to Little River Gallery will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Upon reaching Little River, keep an eye out for Little River Gallery on your left-hand side as you approach.

Walking to Little River Gallery from central Christchurch is quite a long trek, approximately 30 km. If you are up for the challenge, start by heading south on Manchester Street, then follow the signs to Akaroa Road. It’s best to walk through the suburbs and enjoy the scenery as you make your way to Little River. This journey will take several hours, so ensure you have enough water and snacks for the trip. Once you approach Little River, the gallery will be located on your left along Christchurch Akaroa Road.
