Getting There

• Bus

  Start your journey at the Christchurch Bus Interchange located at 37 Lichfield Street. Purchase a ticket for the bus route heading towards Little River. Look for bus numbers that indicate they travel to Akaroa or Little River. The bus will take you along State Highway 75. Stay on the bus until you reach the Little River stop. From there, the Little River Railway Station is a short walk away, approximately 500 meters along State Highway 75.

• Bike

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops in Christchurch. Head towards the south on Colombo Street, which will lead you to State Highway 75. Follow the highway in the direction of Little River, enjoying the scenic views along the way. It’s about a 30-kilometer ride, so make sure you're prepared for a longer journey. Once you arrive in Little River, the railway station will be on your left side along the highway.

• Train and Bus Combination

  Take the train from Christchurch to the nearest station that connects with bus routes to Little River. Start at the Christchurch Railway Station and take a train to Rolleston. Once at Rolleston, catch a bus heading towards Little River. The bus will take you directly to the town. Upon arriving in Little River, the railway station is within walking distance from the bus stop.
