Car
From Fox Glacier township, head southeast on Cook Flat Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with State Highway 6 (SH6). Turn right onto SH6 and drive for about 1.5 km. Look for the sign indicating the start of the Alex Knob Track on your left. You can park your car at the designated parking area before the track entrance.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, check with local bus services for routes from Fox Glacier to the start of Alex Knob Track. The closest stop will usually be near the Fox Glacier township. After getting off the bus, follow the same directions as if you were driving: head southeast on Cook Flat Road, turn onto SH6, and look for the start of the track. Be sure to confirm the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may be limited.

Walking
If you prefer to walk from the township of Fox Glacier, you can take Cook Flat Road. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes and will lead you to the junction with SH6. Once you reach the highway, you will see the sign for Alex Knob Track on your left. Please ensure you walk safely alongside the road and be aware of any traffic.
