From Fox Glacier, head south on State Highway 6 (SH6) towards Haast. After approximately 20 kilometers, look for signs indicating the Westland Tai Poutini National Park. Turn left onto the access road to the park entrance. Continue driving until you reach the designated parking area for the Terrace Walk trailhead. Parking may incur a small fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.

Catch a local bus from Fox Glacier to Franz Josef Glacier. Buses run frequently throughout the day. From the Franz Josef bus stop, look for a shuttle service that takes visitors to the Westland Tai Poutini National Park entrance. This shuttle may have a small fare, so confirm the price with the driver. Once at the park entrance, follow the clearly marked trail signs to the Terrace Walk trailhead.

If you are staying in central Fox Glacier, consider walking to the Terrace Walk trailhead. It's a scenic walk that takes approximately 30-40 minutes.
