If you are starting from the Gisborne i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 209 Grey Street, head east on Grey Street toward the intersection with Customhouse Street. Turn left onto Customhouse Street and continue until you reach the end of the street where it intersects with the river. Follow the riverside path south, enjoying the views of the Tairāwhiti region. Continue on the path until you reach the end of the river, where you will find the bridge over the Taruheru River. Cross the bridge and follow the path leading up to Titirangi Drive.
