Getting There

Walking
Start from the Greymouth Visitor Centre located at 100 Mawhera Quay. Head south on Mawhera Quay towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto State Highway 6 (SH6) and continue walking. After about 1.5 km, look for a sign for Cobden on your left. Turn left onto Cobden Road, which will lead you toward Cobden. Continue straight for approximately 1 km until you reach a T-junction. Turn right onto Ballance Street and walk for about 500 meters. The Coal Creek Falls track entrance will be on your left, marked by a sign.

Public Transport
From the Greymouth bus terminal, take the local bus that goes towards Runanga. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Cobden. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you get off at Cobden, walk straight along Ballance Street for about 500 meters. Look for the Coal Creek Falls track entrance on your left, indicated by signage.
