If you're driving to Roaring Billy Falls, start from Wanaka or Haast. From Wanaka, take State Highway 6 south towards Haast. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, look for the sign for Mt Aspiring National Park. Continue on the road until you reach the Roaring Billy Falls car park. The parking area is well marked and is about 5 km from the falls trailhead.

Take a bus from Wanaka to Haast, which operates several times daily. From Haast, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a shuttle service to the Roaring Billy Falls car park, as there is no direct public transport to this location. Be sure to book your taxi in advance, as services can be limited. The taxi ride from Haast to the falls will take about 30 minutes.
