The entire drive is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) and should take around 10-15 minutes.

Once in the Mount Cook Village, you can either walk or take a local shuttle service that may operate seasonally to the Tasman Valley Lookout. The walking distance from Mount Cook Village to the lookout is approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles), which would take about 2-3 hours on foot.
