To reach Roaring Billy Falls by car, start from Wanaka or Queenstown. Drive north on State Highway 6 towards Haast. Once you reach the town of Haast, turn onto Haast-Jackson Bay Road (State Highway 6) and continue for about 30 minutes. Look for the Roaring Billy Falls car park on your left, just before the bridge that crosses the Haast River. Park your vehicle here. The falls are approximately a 15-minute walk from the car park along a well-marked track.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Wanaka or Queenstown to Haast. The bus services run regularly and will drop you off in Haast. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 3.5 kilometers along Haast-Jackson Bay Road to reach the Roaring Billy Falls car park. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary. Once you arrive at the car park, the falls are a short 15-minute walk along the track.
