If you are driving from Mount Cook Village, head south on State Highway 80 (SH80) towards Pukaki. Continue on SH80 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with State Highway 1 (SH1). At the junction, turn left onto SH1 and drive for about 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Pukaki swing. Follow the signs and turn onto the access road leading to the swing. The swing is located near the Pukaki River, which offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

To reach Pukaki swing via public transport, you will first need to take a bus from Mount Cook Village to Twizel or Tekapo. Buses such as the InterCity or local shuttles operate on this route.
