If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the Mount Cook Village. Head south on Hooker Valley Road, then turn left onto State Highway 80. Continue for approximately 7 kilometers until you reach the junction with State Highway 8. Turn right onto State Highway 8 and follow the signs for Tekapo. Cowans Hill Walkway is located near Tekapo, approximately 30 kilometers from Mount Cook Village. There are parking facilities available at the walkway entrance.
