Car
If you are driving from the Mount Cook Village, head south on State Highway 80 (SH80) toward Twizel. Continue on SH80 for approximately 54 kilometers until you reach the junction with State Highway 8 (SH8). Turn left onto SH8 and follow the signs to Lake Tekapo. After about 40 kilometers, you will arrive in the Lake Tekapo area. Once you reach Lake Tekapo, follow Lakeside Drive. Tekapo Stargazing is located at 300 Lakeside Drive, and you will find it easily on your right side near the lakefront.

Public Transportation
To reach Tekapo Stargazing using public transport from Mount Cook Village, you can take the InterCity bus service that travels towards Christchurch. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as they run infrequently. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Lake Tekapo stop. Once you arrive in Lake Tekapo, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Tekapo Stargazing at 300 Lakeside Drive. Head towards the lake, and follow Lakeside Drive until you spot the stargazing site on your left.
