Walking
If you are starting from the Nelson i-SITE Visitor Information Centre at 74 Trafalgar Street, exit the centre and turn left onto Trafalgar Street. Walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Trafalgar Square. The Christ Church Cathedral will be on your left at 1 Trafalgar Square. You can’t miss it due to its impressive architecture.

To reach Christ Church Cathedral using public transport, head to the nearest bus stop at 74 Trafalgar Street. Board the 'Nelson City Loop' bus, which runs frequently. You will ride for about 5 minutes and get off at the 'Trafalgar Square' stop. Once you disembark, walk towards the square, and the cathedral will be right in front of you.

If you are cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in the city. From the Nelson Market, head down to Hardy Street and then turn left onto Trafalgar Street. Continue straight for about 10 minutes. Upon reaching Trafalgar Square, the Christ Church Cathedral will be on your left.
