Walking
If you are starting from the Nelson i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 74 Trafalgar Street, head southwest on Trafalgar Street towards Bridge Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Hardy Street. Turn right onto Hardy Street and walk until you reach Trafalgar Square. Christ Church Cathedral will be on your left at 1 Trafalgar Square. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes.

Starting from the Nelson Market (held on Saturdays at Montgomery Square), exit the market and head east towards the intersection with Trafalgar Street. Turn left onto Trafalgar Street and walk straight until you reach Trafalgar Square. Christ Church Cathedral will be located on your right at 1 Trafalgar Square. This walk will take around 15 minutes.

Public Transport
If you are near the Nelson Hospital, you can catch the bus on Waimea Road. Take any bus heading towards the city center and get off at the stop at Trafalgar Street. From there, head southwest on Trafalgar Street towards Trafalgar Square. Christ Church Cathedral will be directly ahead at 1 Trafalgar Square. The total journey should take approximately 20-25 minutes including waiting time.
