If you're starting from the New Plymouth CBD, head west towards the coastal walkway. Begin at the intersection of Devon Street and the coast. Walk along the Coastal Walkway, enjoying the views of the ocean and the Taranaki region. Continue along the pathway, which is well-marked and paved. After about 40 minutes of walking, you will reach the Te Rewa Rewa Bridge, which is located in Waiwhakaiho. The bridge is distinctive with its white, flowing design resembling a wave, and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

From the New Plymouth CBD, you can take the local bus service (Route 14) towards Waiwhakaiho. Board the bus at the stop on Devon Street near the Centre City shopping mall. From the bus stop, head east on Waiwhakaiho Road, and you will see the bridge ahead. Follow the path leading directly to the bridge.
