Walking
If you're starting from the New Plymouth city center, head east along St Aubyn Street. Continue on St Aubyn Street until you reach the intersection with the Belt Road. Cross the road and continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the intersection of the Belt Road and State Highway 3. From here, take the footpath heading towards Bell Block. Follow the path along the highway until you reach the next roundabout. Take the exit onto Egmont Street and continue straight until you see Hickford Park on your left, approximately 1.5 km from the roundabout.

Begin your journey at the New Plymouth Bus Station, located at 40 Leach Street. Board the bus heading to Bell Block. You will want to confirm with the driver that the bus will stop near Hickford Park. Once you get off the bus, walk towards Egmont Street and follow it until you see Hickford Park on your left side. This will be a short walk of about 300 meters after you disembark.

If you have access to a bike, start from the New Plymouth city center. Ride east on St Aubyn Street, and continue onto the cycle path that runs parallel to the Belt Road. Follow the path until you reach the roundabout by State Highway 3. After navigating around the roundabout, continue on the designated bike lanes along Egmont Street, where Hickford Park will be approximately 1.5 km ahead on your left.
