If you are in the central area of New Plymouth, start by heading east on Devon Street. Continue walking for about 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Waiwhakaiho Road. Turn left onto Waiwhakaiho Road and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will see the entrance to Katere Scenic Reserve on your right at 704 Devon Road.
