If you are traveling by car, drive to Rawhiti. From Whangarei, take State Highway 1 north towards Kawakawa. At Kawakawa, turn onto State Highway 11 and follow it until you reach Opua. From Opua, take the ferry across to Okiato, then continue on to the Rawhiti Road. Follow Rawhiti Road all the way to Oke Bay, where the Cape Brett Walkways are located. The drive is approximately 2.5 hours from Whangarei.

If you prefer to use public transportation, take a bus from Whangarei to Paihia. From Paihia, you will need to arrange a shuttle or taxi to take you to Rawhiti, as there is no direct public transport to Oke Bay. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours, and a taxi or shuttle from Paihia to Oke Bay will take around 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance. The taxi fare may vary, so expect to pay around NZD 100-150.
