Car
If you're driving from Whangārei city center, head north on Bank Street and continue onto Kamo Road. After about 2 kilometers, take the exit onto State Highway 1 (SH1) heading north. Continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Take the exit toward Whangārei Heads Road. Follow Whangārei Heads Road for about 8 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Parihaka Road. Turn right onto Parihaka Road, and follow it until you reach the Mount Parihaka Lookout and Memorial. Look for the parking area on your left.

To reach Mount Parihaka via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Whangārei's central bus station. Look for the bus service that operates on the Whangārei Heads route. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Whangārei Heads Road and Parihaka Road. From there, it's a 15-minute walk up Parihaka Road to the Mount Parihaka Lookout and Memorial. Follow the road until you see the sign for the lookout.
