    From Whangarei city centre, head north on Bank Street toward Robert Street. Continue onto State Highway 1 (SH1) for about 1.5 km. Look for the pedestrian crossing at the intersection with Tikipunga Road. Cross over and continue straight on Tikipunga Road, which will become a residential area. After approximately 1 km, turn left onto Paranui Valley Road. Follow Paranui Valley Road for about 1 km, and you will find Kennedy Reserve on your right at 51 Paranui Valley Road, Tikipunga. The entrance to the reserve is marked, and you can follow the path to explore the area.

    From Whangarei city centre, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Bank Street. Take the bus number that heads towards Tikipunga. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Tikipunga stop.
