    If you're driving from Dunedin, head east on State Highway 1 (SH1) towards Port Chalmers. Continue for approximately 20 km, then take the exit toward Port Chalmers. Follow the signs to Port Chalmers. Once in Port Chalmers, follow the road to the end of the peninsula where you will see Harington Point Road. Continue on Harington Point Road for about 10 km until you reach Fort Taiaroa at 1260 Harington Point Road. There is parking available on-site.
