Follow SH3 for about 30 km until you reach the junction with State Highway 43 (SH43) near the town of Stratford. Turn left onto SH43 and continue for approximately 50 km. The Whangamomona Saddle will be on your right. Look for the scenic viewpoints along the road where you can stop and appreciate the stunning landscape.
