From New Plymouth, take State Highway 45 (Surf Highway) heading northwest. Continue on this highway for about 35 km until you reach the town of Oakura. From Oakura, turn left onto Clifton Road and follow it for approximately 10 km. You will arrive at the Three Sisters and the Elephant Rock, located at Clifton Road, Tongapōrutu 4378. Parking is available along the roadside.

From New Plymouth, take a bus service that operates towards Opunake. Check the local bus schedule for the latest routes and times. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to Tongapōrutu. From there, it is a short walk (approximately 30 minutes) along Clifton Road to reach the Three Sisters and Elephant Rock.
