Walking
If you are in the central area of Timaru, start by heading south on Stafford Street towards the intersection with Strathallan Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main road, State Highway 1 (SH1). Cross over to the other side of SH1 and turn left. Walk along SH1 for about 1km until you reach the roundabout at the junction with Eversley Street. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto Eversley Street, then continue straight for about 500 meters. You will see the entrance to Kensington Gardens on your right. Enter the gardens and follow the path to the Illuminate Light and Sound Experience, which is located within the gardens.

To reach the Illuminate Light and Sound Experience from central Timaru, you can take a bus from the Timaru Bus Station. Look for a bus that heads towards Kensington (check the local bus schedule for exact routes and times). Once on the bus, get off at the stop nearest to Kensington Gardens. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the gardens. Enter the gardens and follow the path to the Illuminate Light and Sound Experience.
