Car

If you're driving to Tongariro Lodge from anywhere in Tongariro National Park, you will likely start from the Tongariro National Park Visitor Centre. Take State Highway 47 (SH47) southbound. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will reach the town of Tūrangi. Once in Tūrangi, follow the signs to Grace Road. Turn left onto Grace Road and continue for about 1 kilometer. Tongariro Lodge is located at 83 Grace Road, RD 2, Tūrangi 3382. There is free parking available on-site.
Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus from various locations in Tongariro National Park to Tūrangi. The intercity bus services often run daily routes. Once you arrive at the Tūrangi bus stop, it is approximately a 2-kilometer walk to Tongariro Lodge. You can either walk along the main road or take a taxi, which may cost around NZD 10-15. If walking, head west on State Highway 1 (SH1) until you reach Grace Road, then turn left and follow Grace Road to the lodge.
