If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Tongariro National Park. Follow the signs towards the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Drive on State Highway 47 and then turn onto the Tongariro Alpine Crossing access road. The parking area is about 1.5 km from the trailhead. You can park your car at the Ketetahi parking area (make sure to arrive early as it can fill up quickly). From the parking area, follow the well-marked track towards Ketetahi Falls, which is approximately a 30-minute walk.

If you are using public transportation, check for shuttle services that operate from nearby towns such as Turangi or National Park Village. Many shuttles offer pick-up and drop-off at the Tongariro Alpine Crossing trailhead.
