From Hamilton, take the State Highway 1 (SH1) north towards Auckland. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Whatawhata on the SH39. Continue on SH39 for about 20 kilometers until you reach Whatawhata. Once in Whatawhata, turn onto Karakariki Valley Road. Follow the road for about 6 kilometers until you reach the Karakariki Scenic Reserve, where you will find the parking area for Karakariki Waterfall.
