Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 103 Ardmore Street. Head south on Ardmore Street, passing the lake on your right. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Dungarvon Street. Turn left onto Dungarvon Street and follow it until you reach the junction with Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road. Turn right onto Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road. Wānaka Station Park is located approximately 1.5 kilometers down this road on the left side at 62 Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road. Look for the park entrance.

  • Biking

    If you have a bike, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 103 Ardmore Street. Ride south along Ardmore Street towards the lake, then take a left onto Dungarvon Street. Continue straight until you reach Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road and turn right. Follow Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road for about 1.5 kilometers. Wānaka Station Park will be on your left at 62 Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road. There are bike racks available at the park entrance.

    Currently, there is limited public transport directly to Wānaka Station Park. However, you can take a bus to the nearest stop, which is on Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road.
