From Wellington, head to the Wellington Railway Station located at 2 Bunny Street. Purchase a ticket to Paekakariki, which is on the Kapiti Line. Trains to Paekakariki run regularly, so check the schedule for departure times. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride that takes approximately 50 minutes. When you arrive at Paekakariki Station, exit the train and walk towards the beach by heading left on Beach Road. After a short walk of about 10 minutes, you will reach Paekakariki Beach at The Parade.

From Wellington, you can catch a bus from the Wellington Bus Terminal located on Cambridge Terrace. Look for the bus service heading towards Paraparaumu or Kapiti Coast. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the correct route. You will need to get off at the Paekakariki stop. Once you get off the bus, walk towards The Parade, which is just a short stroll away (approximately 5-10 minutes) before you reach the beach.
