Bus
From Wellington Central, head to the Wellington Bus Interchange located at 1 Bunny Street. Look for the bus services heading to Paraparaumu, such as the 'Kapiti Line' bus. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. Get off at the 'Paraparaumu Station' stop. From the station, walk towards the main road, and then take a right onto Amohia Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Otaihanga Road. Turn left onto Otaihanga Road and walk for about 10 minutes. The Southward Car Museum will be on your right.

Train
Start at Wellington Railway Station located at 1 Bunny Street. Board a train on the 'Kapiti Line' heading towards Waikanae. The trip to Paraparaumu Station takes around 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Paraparaumu Station, exit the station and turn right onto Amohia Street. Walk straight until you reach Otaihanga Road, then turn left. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will find the Southward Car Museum on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from various rental shops in Wellington. Head towards the waterfront and follow the cycling path that leads out of the city towards the north. Follow the route along the coastline until you reach the Kapiti Coast. The ride to Paraparaumu takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your speed. Once you reach Paraparaumu, navigate to Otaihanga Road and head towards the museum, which will be on your right.
