Bus
Start your journey at Wellington's central bus station, located at 81 Abel Smith Street. Take the number 2 bus towards 'Island Bay'. The bus will take you along the scenic route through the city. After about 30 minutes, get off the bus at the 'Hauwai Street' stop near the Miramar Peninsula. From there, walk towards the coast along the road.

After getting off at Hauwai Street, head southeast towards the coastline. Continue walking along the path that runs along the water. You will pass several parks and scenic views. Follow the path until you reach the Point Halswell Lighthouse. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop, and you will be able to enjoy lovely views of the harbor along the way.

If you're feeling more adventurous, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Wellington. Head towards the waterfront and follow the bike path around the coast. You will cycle through the beautiful scenery of the Miramar Peninsula. Once you reach the end of the Peninsula, lock your bike at a nearby bike rack and take a short walk to the lighthouse.
