Walking
If you are already in Mount Victoria, the best way to reach Hobbit's Hideaway is by walking. Start at the Mount Victoria lookout area, which is a popular spot for tourists. From the lookout, head towards the Mount Victoria Summit Road. Follow the path leading away from the lookout, which will take you through some beautiful native bush. Continue walking along the well-marked trails for approximately 15-20 minutes until you reach the summit, where you will find Hobbit's Hideaway. The trail is mostly uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a workout.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer to use public transport, you can take a bus from the central Wellington area to Mount Victoria. Catch bus number 2, 14, or 22 from the Wellington bus interchange. Make sure to check the schedule as buses run frequently. Disembark at the stop on Elizabeth Street near the entrance to the Mount Victoria Tunnel. From there, you will need to walk approximately 10-15 minutes uphill to reach Hobbit's Hideaway. Follow the signs to Mount Victoria Summit and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
