Car
If you are traveling by car from Murchison, start by heading south on SH6 towards the Maruia River. After approximately 20 km, turn right onto Maruia Rd (which is also signposted for Maruia Falls). Continue on Maruia Rd for about 10 km until you reach the Maruia Falls car park. There is no cost for parking, and the walk to the falls is a well-marked track from the car park.

Public transportation options are limited, but you can take a bus from Nelson to Murchison. The bus service generally operates a few times a week. From Murchison, you will need to arrange a taxi or a rideshare service to take you to Maruia Falls, as there is no direct public transport available.
