If you're traveling by car, the Maruia Falls are located approximately 30 minutes from Murchison. From Murchison, head south on State Highway 6 (SH6) towards Springs Junction. After about 21 kilometers, look for the sign for Maruia Falls on your left. Turn onto Maruia Falls Road and follow it until you reach the car park at the end of the road. The car park is free of charge.

If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Nelson or Greymouth to Murchison. Check local schedules for the most current service. Once in Murchison, you will need to arrange a taxi or shuttle service to Maruia Falls, as public transport options do not extend directly to the falls.
