    From the central Whanganui city area, start at the Whanganui River. Head east on Victoria Avenue until you reach the intersection with Wilson Street. Turn left onto Wilson Street and continue straight until it becomes Great North Road. Keep walking straight for about 20 minutes until you reach the intersection with Kakaho Drive. Turn right onto Kakaho Drive, and you'll find Kakaho Estate Reserve at number 19 on your left.

    Begin at the Whanganui City Bus Stop. Take the local bus that heads towards the Tawhero area. Ensure you check the bus schedule for the correct route that includes a stop at Tawhero. Once you disembark at the Tawhero stop, walk east on Kakaho Drive for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Kakaho Estate Reserve located at 19 Kakaho Drive.
