Start at Whangarei Town Basin. Head northwest on Dent Street towards Bank Street. Continue straight, following the signs to the Whangarei Art Museum. From there, take a left onto Hatea Drive and walk towards the intersection with State Highway 1. Cross the highway and follow the pedestrian path leading you alongside the road. After about 1 km, turn left onto Kamo Road. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Elgin Place.
