Start at Whangarei Town Basin. Head northwest on Dent Street towards Bank Street. Continue straight, following the signs to the Whangarei Art Museum. From there, take a left onto Hatea Drive and walk towards the intersection with State Highway 1. Cross the highway and follow the pedestrian path leading you alongside the road. After about 1 km, turn left onto Kamo Road. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Elgin Place. Elgin Place Reserve will be on your left at 10 Elgin Place, Te Kamo.

From Whangarei City Centre, catch a bus heading towards Kamo. The bus stops near the intersection of Kamo Road and Elgin Place. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you arrive at Elgin Place. Once you get off, walk a short distance down Elgin Place; Elgin Place Reserve will be on your right at 10 Elgin Place, Te Kamo.
