From the Whangarei Bus Station, take the bus heading towards Whangarei Heads. You can catch this bus at the main stop located on the corner of Bank Street and Robert Street. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus times. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 'Whareora' stop. From there, walk along Whareora Road for about 15 minutes until you reach A. H. Reed Memorial Kauri Park at 199 Whareora Road.

If you are starting from the Whangarei Town Centre, head towards the Town Basin and follow the river along the path. Continue walking until you reach the end of the path, then turn left onto Hatea Drive. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Whangarei Heads Road. Turn right and continue straight until you reach Whareora Road. Turn left onto Whareora Road, and after about 20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at A. H. Reed Memorial Kauri Park at 199 Whareora Road.

To bike to A. H. Reed Memorial Kauri Park from Whangarei Town Centre, start at the Town Basin and follow the cycle paths along the Hatea River. Once you reach Hatea Drive, turn right and follow the road until it intersects with Whangarei Heads Road. Turn right onto Whangarei Heads Road, and continue cycling until you reach Whareora Road. Turn left onto Whareora Road and bike for about 10 more minutes until you reach the park at 199 Whareora Road.
