To reach Cabañas Caiman using public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Rio San Juan. Take a bus headed towards San Carlos. The fare is typically around 30-50 Cordobas. Inform the driver you are going to Los Guatuzos. After about 30 minutes, ask to be dropped off near the entrance of Los Guatuzos Wildlife Refuge. From there, you can either walk about 15-20 minutes along the dirt road to reach Cabañas Caiman or arrange for a local taxi to take you directly (which may cost around 100-150 Cordobas).
