Getting There

Public Transport
Start at the Bodø Bus Station, located in the city center. From there, take the bus number 3 towards 'Kjerringøy'. This bus will take you close to the Kaiservarden trailhead. Ride the bus for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop called 'Kaiservarden'. After disembarking, follow the signs leading to the hiking trail. You will see a marked path leading towards the mountains, which will take you directly to the Kaiservarden Hiking trail.

Walking
If you prefer to walk from the city center to the trailhead, start at the Bodø Cathedral, located at Storgata 2. Head east on Storgata for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Sjøgata. Turn left onto Sjøgata and continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the waterfront. Follow the coast northward along the promenade for about 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach the end of the promenade, you will see signs for the hiking trail leading up the hill towards Kaiservarden. The hike from this point will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
