To reach Steins Pillar from High Desert, OR, start by heading northeast on US-97 N. Continue for approximately 15 miles. Take the exit toward Prineville on OR-126 E. After about 8 miles, turn left onto NW A St. Follow this road as it becomes the Crooked River Highway and continue for about 12 miles. Look for signs directing you to Steins Pillar; you will be taking a left turn onto a gravel road leading to the trailhead. There is no fee for parking at the trailhead.
