Getting There

    From Klamath Falls, OR, start by heading east on OR-140 E. Continue on OR-140 E for approximately 25 miles. Look for signs directing you to Sky Lakes Wilderness. Turn onto Forest Road 3660 (also known as the Sky Lakes National Recreation Trail) which will lead you directly into the wilderness area. Please note that this road may be gravel and could require a vehicle with higher clearance depending on the conditions.

  • Public Transportation + Car

    Take a bus from Klamath Falls to Chiloquin via the Klamath County Transit. The bus route is typically available but check the local schedule for timings. Once in Chiloquin, you can use a rideshare service or rent a car to drive the remaining 15 miles to the Sky Lakes Wilderness entrance via OR-97 N and then onto Forest Road 3660. Make sure to check for any car rental availability in Chiloquin.

  • Hiking
