If you are driving from downtown Klamath Falls, head northeast on Main St toward OR-39 N. Merge onto OR-39 N and continue to follow it. After approximately 60 miles, merge onto US-97 N toward Bend. Continue on US-97 N for about 70 miles. Take exit 135 for OR-20 E toward Bend. Continue on OR-20 E for about 5 miles until you reach Pilot Butte State Scenic Viewpoint located at 1310 NE Hwy 20, Bend, OR 97701. There is a parking area available for visitors.

To reach Pilot Butte State Scenic Viewpoint using public transportation, first take a Klamath Falls Transit bus to the Klamath Falls Amtrak station. From there, catch an Amtrak bus to Bend, OR.
